Having a baby in Singapore without private health insurance
Jan 23, 2012 - As far as I'm concerned BUPA covers everything. At the National University Hospital we haven't had any problems with BUPA. NUH is not a private hospital, but the care is really good and you can still choose you own private obstetrician. The costs will be lower than in the private hospitals too. Just a few obs to mention: Prof Biswas, prof Mary Rauff. Good luck and do inform yourself a lot! The most important things for birth are preparation, education and support; choose the people you feel most safe and confident with!

Moving from Ireland, expecting baby no. 3
Jan 12, 2010 - ...We did not bring our health cover with us but asked for work to cover
the cost of the birth..I stayed in the national university hospital for 7
days with 2 children delivered by section and all up a cost Sing
$13500. We have never taken out health insurance as work covers the big
stuff should it ever happen and a stay in hospital in private ward over
night is about $350...
